The vacation are here , and all of the prep and magic that go into them are in full swing . This week , we decided to make and have our annual cooky plate to friends and neighbors .
My kid ’ favorite part of cookie making is unquestionably cutting out and decorating the wampum cookies . We get out my swelled box of cookie cutters , and take our favourite to use . The kids have so much fun explore through the cutter , form them by color and seeing how many of the form they can identify . They finish up having just as much fun digging through the biscuit cutters as they do making the actual cookies .
All this cookie - cutter merriment makes we wonder why I do n’t get them out more . cookie cutters do n’t have to be just for cookies , do they ? Of of course not ! So later in the hebdomad , when the nipper were looking for something to keep their manus busy after school , we got down the cookies stonecutter again , and this time , we crafted with them .

The cookies cutters make the perfect stencil for little hands to describe . Once the shapes were traced , they cut them out and embellished them . They had so much fun making and decorating newspaper cookies . I enjoy this craft , too , because it was a lot less effort than veridical lettuce cookies , no one was grumpy from eating too much sugar all good afternoon , and the clean and jerk up was so much easier . winnings , win , winnings !
The next sentence you postulate a fun project to keep little hand busy , remember this wanton cooky cutter craft .
Materials You call for :

Let the Cookie Making BeginHave the youngster come in a cookie cutter on the paper and trace around the exterior of the anatomy . ( They might need a small help hold the biscuit cutter still . ) Then have them cut the chassis out .
Let the children embellish their “ cookie ” any elbow room they wish with the glue and things that you ’ve collected for them to grace with .
Put “ Cookies ” to UseUse your paper cookie as ornaments for the Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree , gift rag , goodie - photographic plate medal , vacation greetings sent to Grandma or first cousin , window decorations to savor .

amorphous projects like this are grand for minuscule minds . Kids so often have to follow a sealed stage set of rule or instructions that it seems like they unloose the ability to make creative decision on their own . Give your little ones memory access to provision and a piddling counselling and you will be amazed at the merriment foundation that they come up with .
Enjoy this project and glad holidays to you !
