Fifty Years Of Growing

“ We derive to this house in 1969 and I ’ve been here ever since , ” Tim starts .

“ I like Japanese maples , so we ’ve got a plenty of those , ” shares Tim .

“ We ’ve make several in tubs that are little and then some in the ground , which have grown quite bombastic , such as theAcer griseum , which has brown , strip barque .

“ There ’s also a largeAcer palmatumin the woodland take the air . That stayed small for a long time and is now huge .

“ It just keeps growing and growing , and many visitors look up to that – it ’s quite a feature .

“ We also have a California Redwood , which has very corked barque . It ’s amazingly sonant ! ”

The Herbaceous Borders

“ I think the main affair in the garden mightily now is the herbaceous borders , ” Tim explains .

“ I ’ve also make lots of plants in bathtub and dope , such as salvias . They ’re very colorful and they just go on flowering for the whole season .

“ Herbaceous border can be difficult to keep up , as they can just become overgrown by the more thuggish plant life .

“ You ’ve get to do quite a stack of work on them to keep them colorful and not let it get too crowded .

“ Delphiniums reckon greatat this time of year , but because of their top , they do need a minuscule propping up . ”
