Step 2
Cut a piece of the 1/2 inch plywood around twice the size of the word of honor or letter of the alphabet that will be stamped into the concrete ’s surface . Judge the size of the plyboard based on the size of the 3 - D letter used to make the template .
Step 3
Attach a piece of the 2 by 4 to the backside of the plywood using the all - purpose nookie . Screw the narrow-minded edge of the 2 by 4 directly to the plyboard . The 2 by 4 will serve well as a handle for the plywood template .
Step 4
Step 5
Draw a contrast along the front side of the plyboard template , and set the 3 - D numbers and alphabetic character on the line to form the desired watchword . set up the letters to write the Scripture in reverse , with each letter and number also reversed . When the guide is view as up to a mirror , the letter should appear in the right gild .
Step 6
Using the practice , screw the letters and numbers to the plyboard templet using the 1 - 1/4 inch all - purpose screws , so that they write out the desire word . Before stereotype the letter of the alphabet permanently into the concrete , hold up the template to a mirror and look at the letters . In the mirror , the word should appear properly aligned , with all the letters facing the right centering , rather than in the transposed position .
Step 7
Spray the open of the letters with a heavy coat of silicone polymer spray . This will help keep the concrete from cleave to the template when it is removed .
Step 8
Step 9
Press the plywood guide into the wet concrete until the plyboard surface comes in contact with the surface of the concrete . You will have to jiggle the template back and forth to get it to set down into the concrete .
Step 10
Keep the template in seat for a short amount of fourth dimension . After five or six arcminute , carefully remove the template by lifting the plywood directly up . The template may need to be wiggle a mo to liberate it from the concrete . Do not move the template so much as to deform the letters , which will stay imprinted in the concrete as it dry out .
