Iced Landscape.
We awake to a lily-white garden this morning . I am not a fan of a winter wonderland . A monochrome landscape leaves me cold . Literally , even if it is a glistering one .
My wretched hellebores and snowdrops are lying face down in the blow . I ca n’t get on with privation I desire to do . The visit of a very exceptional garden friend had to be scrub . So I am not feeling very gruntled .
But the spidery flush of Witch hazels are quite unfazed by the meth quartz decorating their branches .

In the churchyard the sun has melted the snow and swathes ofGalanthus nivalisare dancing round the ancient tombstone . This form is not a second like the form in my garden which has littler flowers and is still in bud . Some of the best displays of Anemone quinquefolia can be receive in ancient graveyards like this .

But really after a snappy walk the only berth for a disgruntled nurseryman is the greenhouse . Because despite an frosty vista outside , give has go far in there . My nursery is really delighting me at the moment . So a nursery post will be come up very presently .

Snow is so very pretty , at least in pic . I ’ve literally never had to deal with its shock but I can imagination that any thrill in its show would be fleeting . I hope you get a prissy melt soon .
That Prunus barque is stunning ! I ’ll seem forward to your nursery military post . And oh my goodness … the Witch Hazels are in their glorification in your garden ! Really special !
