Lithops aucampiaeis native toSouth Africa . It occurs in the northeastern part of the country , the former Province of the Transvaal , originate in ironstone areas with sandstone , chert , and quartzite .
Lithops aucampiaeis a smallsucculentwith brownish - red bodies that comprise of two sarcoid leaves with darker markings at the tips . Over time , it can form a small cluster of up to 12 ( usually 2 to 5 ) body . The dead body can grow up to 2.2 column inch ( 5.5 atomic number 96 ) tall and 1.6 inches ( 4 cm ) across . Lithopsare very easy - growing , little plants , pee them idealistic ashouseplants(once you get the hang of their watering agenda ) . sure-enough plant forge attractive clumps of " pebbles " in their pots , which are highly prized . In general , plants should only be repot if there are ethnic problem ( soggy soil ) or the plant has outgrow its dish container , which will only happen every several years .
