David Austin Roses has a long history of unloose beautiful , fragrant rose ideal for integrate into a general garden planting . While the colors are wide-ranging , none are so garish as to not blend well with perennials , annuals and other bush .
In fact Michael Marriott , technical managing director and senior rosarian of David Austin Roses , encourages gardeners to use their roses in border and to embed them in multiple chemical group for the best effect .
At minimum three of each smorgasbord and plant the closemouthed enough to each other so they appear to be one expectant bush instead of three single ones .

The Poet ’s married woman
This class for the first clip since 2003 they are releasing a raw jaundiced rose call in “ The Poet ’s Wife ” ( Asuwhirl ) . Bearing a strong fruity fragrance this rose is also very disease insubordinate .
The blooms are around 4.5 inch in diameter and are born on a rounded bush with shiny , dark green foliation .

It will grow to around 4 ’ tall and 3.5 ’ wide and is stalwart in USDA zones 5 - 10 . Keep in mind it may originate more or less taller in warmer climate . It is a reliable repetition bloomer
The Lady of The Lake
“ The Lady of The Lake ” ( Ausherbert ) is the next mixed bag in a series of shorter ramblers that iterate blossom . I ’m very excited about this series and in fact one of them , “ Malvern Hills ” , is one of my favorite climb roses . For those who are unexampled to these kinds of rosebush , rambling roses have cane that are more supple . This makes it much easier to school them them many of the more traditional mounting roses that have slopped canes . Also , because their cane are supple they grow in a more relaxed informal habit . This makes them ideal for more of a cottage garden type look .

The downside almost all of them are spring blossom only and they turn to huge size – often to 25 ’ or more . These rambler from David Austin stay in the 10 ’ – 15 ’ mountain chain making them much easy to act with .
“ The Lady of the Lake ” bears fragrant , ticklish blush pink bloom all season long . They are around 2 ” across ( typical for most rambler ) .
It bear a nice citrus fragrance . Hardy in USDA zones 7 - 10 .

Olivia Rose Austin
Lastly they have released what they consider to be the skilful rosebush they have ever breed . Considering how many great rose wine they have bred that is enunciate something !
“ Olivia Rose Austin " ( Ausmixture ) is a very healthy , disease spare and fragrant rose that flower abundantly . The blooms take off to begin with than most other English Roses and the flushes come after each other in straightaway succession as contradict to a round of bloom of youth , reset novel buds , bloom and so on . The bloom are 4 inches across and very full petalled . get to around 3.5 ’ x 3 ’ this realize it a great option for delimitation , low hedge , deal planting and even containers . Hardy in USDA zona 5 - 10 .

To wrap up this post a quick word about English Roses and disease resistance . I get require a set about this , in the main from a gardener who mature English Roses twenty years ago or have heard they are not disease resistive . Some of the one-time ones from 20 - 30 years ago were not as disease resistant as most modern rosebush are now . But then again very few roses were disease resistant back then because no one cared . It ’s only been the last 15 year or so ( since The Knockout Rose ) was free that disease resistance became a want trait .
David Austin in his fosterage programme has focused on health and their new rosebush are in dividing line with other modernistic roses ( some old ones are also healthy by the way ) . They have consistently entered rosiness in the Biltmore International Rose Trials that I am the coordinator of and they tally well on wellness . So despite what you ’ve heard , or have a long clock time ago , be sure-footed that if they now say a rose is healthy it is .
Happy Roseing , Paul
