It was jolly changeable what the weather would be like in The Hague , but the 62nd edition of the International Rose Competition have place in the rosarium of Westbroek Park while the sun come out from behind the swarm .

Golden RoseA few time a yr , a professional jury visits the rosary and judges all pink wine on their vividness , florescence and ontogenesis . At the International Rose Competition , rose experts from home and abroad also serve the professional jury . The rise with the most points is grant as " Golden Rose " and this yr it is the Phoenix of German rose cultivator Kordes .

The Public RoseNot only the jury , but also the public could vote for their preferent rose . This year , the populace was impress by the Blend Flower Village , an orange uprise from Dutch raiser Jan Spek Roses .

Fragrance prizeThe aroma swag plump to the Anastasia , a blank rose of NIRP International from France . To sense the good smell , there is a special commission that smell the roses at different time throughout the day , as there is a difference between the feeling of a rose in the morning or evening .

Jurjen Ilsink of Interplant was also present : " It is wondrous that the Sunday is shining , and that there are some beautiful rose wine you could see it was not the good year for roses , because unfortunately not all rose await salutary , mainly due to the spoiled weather condition . One of the organizers is Paul Boeters of The Hague Municipality . " We are glad that the 62nd variant of the rose competition is once again a success . Fortunately , the rose staunch have grown a routine longer in the past two weeks . Due to the sonorous rainfall , we did n’t bed what they would look like , but as luck would have it everything look beautiful together . There are many visitant from all over the world , include New Zealand , the US , Ireland , and the rest of Europe . Of naturally , there are also many Dutch growers , and among the visitant are hobbyist too . We are very happy with everyone who came ! "

All in all , it was a successful , well - assist , 62nd edition of the International Rose Competition in The Hague . The date for next year is already known , namely 12 March 2025 .
