Views from a gardener’s work

Today we ’re looking at photos sent in by Reneé Clermont in Edgartown , Massachusetts , whose company Second Nature Designs does landscape design and gardening work .

I love the over - the - top coloration of thiscontainer planting , with tall salvias that look likeSalvia‘Wendy ’s indirect request ’ ( Zones 9–11 or as an annual ) andSalviaguaranitica‘Black and Blue ’ ( Zones 7–11 or as an annual ) . These give the design majuscule height and play .

This is a wonderful example of the impact you’re able to get by prefer just a couple of great plants and double them through the garden . HereAstilbe(looks to beAstilbechinensis‘Visions ’ , Zones 4–8 ) combine with a violet perennial salvia ( Salvianemorosa , Zones 4–8 ) to make a breathless display .

The neat lawn surrounding this   dreamy flower garden , filled with color fromperennialsandannuals ,   provides a stately line to the more cozy blossom planting .

In this container planting , Mandevilla(Zones 9–11 or as an yearly ) vine render tiptop and abundant pink heyday . A variegated geranium ( Pelargoniumhybrid , Zones 8–10 or as annual ) has cherry flowers and showy yellow - margined foliage for even more color impact .

I roll in the hay the soft , decompress colour dodge here . Shades of regal , ashen , and burgundy make this a gross touch to sit back and de - stress .

The cock-a-hoop bloodless blossom lead ofsmooth hydrangea(Hydrangeaarborescens , Zones 3–9 ) dominate the foreground in this garden full of the bloom of high-pitched summer .
