Our house remains a work in progress . The plan all along was to get the structure “ livable ” by previous fall , and complete the finishing hint “ in residence ” through the wintertime months . So far , it seems to be working well .

Although it can be a fleck baffling at times , the benefit of lastly hold up at our farm have far outbalance the small inconvenience of living in an alive mental synthesis zona .
One thing is for indisputable – we can not believe the freedom “ last smaller ” has bring to our lives . At just 1054 substantial base of living outer space , our little farmhouse still has the space for everything we could possible motive . I think we can both candidly say that we have not missed a single square metrical foot of the blank space we had in our old home . We sure enough do n’t miss the supernumerary toll and metre it took to exert it !
We hope you savour our farm household exposure tour below – we still have a longsighted way to go , but each week , and with every projection cross off the list – we get a small skinny ! For more info on the sign of the zodiac , see : The Simple House Project

The Farm House Photo Tour Update – November, 2016.
The house and garage as they looked at the top of the pitcher’s mound in mid - November . It ’s hard to consider that just seven months ago , it was nothing more than an empty field of force .
The perspective of the back porch . We are finishing up the step now , with the railing to trace shortly .
An up snug look at two of the light-emitting diode Edison bulbs that hang over the kitchen island . We have used the industrial look of the bulbs throughout the house . They may look sure-enough , but the LED lights are exceedingly efficient , and give off plenty of illumination to the opened space .

The kitchen with the oversized Edison electric-light bulb secureness hanging from the ceiling above .
We installed the kitchen back splash this past week in the kitchen . We opted for groutless mini alloy subway tiles to help tie in the galvanized interior ceilings and stainless gadget .
The shower is finally complete – that was a must for moving in !

We fill out the knee joint walls in the loft in mid - September . We will hang slip barn door for comfortable access . The articulatio genus walls have been a pure solution to adding all important storage distance to the story architectural plan .
The build in wine wheel area below the step case . Made from rough sawn pine , shiplap scraps , and a 24″ wide alive edge piece of local cherry .
The view of the independent aliveness field from the loft . We still involve to add the rolling library run and picture paries to the Scrabble Wall .

The propellor fans are now instal on the back porch . We love the unique look they give to the back porch area .
Although we wo n’t be able-bodied to put many of our landscape gardening plant in the ground till next spring , we were able to set up all of the rock’n’roll edging and beds around the business firm . We will complete the walkway with pea gravel to fit the other walk paths around the barn and garden .
No , you are not seeing double . A view of the farm and a picture of the farm from our back porch . One of my favored photograph of all time .
